The Ask: (SPEC WORk CHicago portfolio school)

Invent a consumer-facing product that solves a problem that a brand could bring to market and build a campaign around.

The Insight:

Leftover pizza is universally loved—but storing it is a pain. Boxes don’t fit in the fridge, and plastic containers leave slices soggy. By solving this overlooked but familiar problem, Pizza Hut had an opportunity to extend its brand experience beyond the meal and reinforce its role in everyday food culture.

The Idea:

The Pizza Hut Leftovers Box: a foldable, fridge-friendly container designed to keep your slices crisp until round two. The supporting campaign, “Save Some for Later,” leaned into the cultural love of leftover pizza—sharing reheating tips, nostalgic rituals, and reminders that good pizza is even better the next day.
